Expressive Arts


My educational background is in Expressive Arts Therapy which means that I hold an advanced understanding of how to implement creative tools into therapeutic space.

This does not require you to be an artist to work with me, it just means that I prioritize a style that offers a fuller embodiment of exploration by activating both hemispheres of your brain, allowing for more expansive processing to occur.


Whereas traditional talk therapy tends to solely utilize conversation, the Expressive Arts prioritizes accessing one’s own imagination, creative processing, & extended sensory experience that allows the body access to deeper healing in a safer way because of creating distance between you & the story with creative modalities.

This means that we might do things such as writing, drawing, movement, painting, listening to music, role-playing, utilizing oracle cards or building alters— all in addition to talking.
